Why does Why Health exist?
Why Health exists because our healthcare system is not living up to its potential — not just for patients, but for providers too. Despite the United States spending more per person on healthcare than any other country (OECD, 2024), we consistently lag behind in outcomes, access, and equity (Cohen, 2024). Many families live one hospital stay away from financial ruin. At the same time, clinics, hospitals, and frontline workers struggle under fragile finances, shrinking reimbursements, and systemic inefficiencies.

Our mission is to build a sustainable, equitable, and high-performance health care ecosystem that works for everyone:

- Prevention-focused care: Moving the system away from reactive “sick care” toward proactive, preventive health.
- Financial sustainability: Reducing the financial burden on patients and taxpayers by promoting value-based models and system-wide reform.
